Six Flags withOUT Electricity

Yeah, the title is no joke!! Yesterday, my boyfriend, Luke, and I went with my older sister Lauren, and her boyfriend, to Six Flags. I do have to say, not a new thing, growing up in Dallas you kind of take advantage of having amusement parks like Hurricane Harbor and Six Flags so close. But anyways, we had really cheap tickets and I borrowed my roommate's Season Pass. We got there at 5PM, and people were in a frenzy because they had paid like 35/ticket and didn't get to ride a single ride. We went in and walked around for awhile, eventually just standing in the 2 hour line for the Titan, which is amazing. It broke like 3 times before they made us all leave, or "Wait at our own risk." We went and walked around some more, got dinner, waited in line for 30 minutes just to order, and I waited for a table while people literally stepped in front of me and "stole the table out from under my nose." Sometimes I just don't get people. Like why they have to be so rude and not a little more altruistic. And that is why I don't really enjoy being in overpopulated small confined places! Anyway, by the time after dinner, the electricity was up and running, and we rode my favorite lil kid Mine Train, the Texas Tornado swing thing, Runaway Mine Train, Shockwave, and the Titan twice. Might I add we ran around the park like Napoleon to do these rides in an hour and a half. Genuises.

My closing thought: I love little coasters like Mine Train but I still haven't figured out why I force myself to go on big roller coasters like the Titan, when I really don't enjoy it. I just keep telling myself the drop has got to stop sometime, and the ride will be over shortly.

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! HERE COME EXAMS

weekend fun

this past weekend was a great one. on friday, i went to an 80s theme party, Top Guns and Roses. I busted out my mom's Units dress (does anyone know what I'm talking about?) and hair crimper, oh yeah, and my blue eye shadow. It was a lot of fun because there was all kinds of music to boogie down on the dance floor to.
On Saturday, I saw Elizabethtown. It reminded me a lot of Garden State, just really different like that. But I do recommend it. I love those kinds of stories. Has anyone seen the new Dakota Fanning movie, Dreamer? I know it's supposed to be a little kid movie but I totally am going to see it soon. I love horses and Dakota, I think she's a great little actress! Then I went to the fball game, where I witnessed UNLV fans harass us frogs and vice versa. This guy with a mullet came running in to the crowd I was standing in, just to cheer on his son. Well I thought that was rude because he shoved his way in. Then everybody started chanting "Mullet, mullet, mullet..." I felt so bad for him! But yes, it was funny. Another thing I noticed, just looking at the the LV crowd, you can tell they're from Las Vegas by their hair styles and makeup. It really cracked me up. After that, my boyfriend and I went to a party at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine. You have to dress up to fit in. While we were there, they were decorating for christmas, so I'll be sure to go back in December! Yall should too! It's next to this HUGE Bass Pro shop and a restaurant we ate at, Big Buck Brewery & Steakhouse. They even make their own sodas! I had a mixture of coca-cola and vanilla cream soda and my boyfriend had their root beer. it was great! plus their food was just to die for. I HIGHLY**** recommend this restaurant.

All in all, a lovely weekend.

kinky time tomorrow!

Hey everybody, I expect to see you at the Kinky debate tomorrow in Ed Landreth at 630! No just kidding... but I am for sure going since I wrote my last paper on him! idiot. i can't wait to see him in person... he was so ridiculous in his interviews I wonder how he'll act on our campus.

So I went to Arkansas this past weekend. Arakadelphia, Arkansas. And visited Ouachita Baptist University, home of 1500 students. That's smaller than my high school was. My best friend, Kayse, from high school goes there. It was a really fun weekend and Arakadelphia is a cute little town. I saw the movie Crash, finally. It was really interesting! I recommend it. We went to a party, OBU style. There was like 20 pple surrounding a bonfire, chilling and drinking. KC and I made one of the guys sit down because he was so plastered and kept almost falling into the fire! Also, some dumb drunk through an empty glass bottle of you know what into the fire and it EXPLODED. But still, a fun night. On Saturday we went into Hot Springs. I totally recommend going there, especially at night, maybe around 7 when it gets dark. It's really pretty with all the lights on. They also have the hot baths museums which are interesting to look at. And I tried La Hacienda for the first time, which is supposively real Mexican food. It was alright, but I think I'll stick with my Mi Cocina. Anyway, it was a great weekend, and now back to real life.

This paper is consuming my life.

Yet another weekend has come and gone. Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy Monday. How can it rain on Halloween? All those kiddos need their candy! It's sugar season!
I'm supposed to take the three little girls I nanny for trick-or-treating so I really hope it doesn't rain, they'll be very, pero muy, disappointed.

This week is looking full:
*Monday is consumed with homework, working, and nannying. And praying that it doesn't rain.

*Have to go to Dallas on Tuesday. Oh yeah, and turn in my English paper.

*It's Sophomore Spotlight week, and I actually have to attend the talks/activities becuase of one of my classes.

*Thursday I have a Spanish AND*********** Psychology test. Yuck. But then it's off to Arkansas to visit my high school best friend, Kayse. :-) So that should be fun! I love road trips!

So we ended up being Adam and Eve. My roommate, Rachel, was Little Miss Muppet. (I think that's how you spell it?)

look for the hot light

i just ate two krispy kreme original glazed donuts. wow. so much sugar in the morning! and i came to class with a stomach ache! i wonder how i'll feel in 30 minutes. how much calories was that?! (400 in two glazed) haha being a college student is great. (thanks for the donuts, jason!)
Fun Facts:
A typical Krispy Kreme store produces more than 3,000 donuts per hour.

In about 22 seconds, Krispy Kreme can produce enough donuts to make a stack as high as the Empire State Building.

The latest craze for donuts is serving Krispy Kreme at your wedding!

Krispy Kreme stores across North America produce more than 7.5 million donuts per day and make more than 2.7 billion donuts per year.

aiyiyi

I feel like there is so much to get done! I'm still working on my rough draft and it still is pretty sh*tty! I did enjoy the skit assignment; I had a fun time creating the characters. I personally think Kinky has some good ideas but if he becomes governor, it will be a madhouse. He's responses to things are crazy! He always reminds people that he's a Jew. He is just weird! But defniately a good laugh.

What does everyone think about this weather? I went home this past weekend for my older sister's birthday, so I got to go see our horses. They were so frisky because of the cold wind! But my horse has bad arthiritis and the cold didn't help his hind legs. Blanket time!

Halloween is a week from today! That is really exciting! Especially since the parties start on Thursday. I figured out my costume. My boyfriend and I are going to be Adam and Eve. It really cracks me up.

Well, everyone have a good one. See you in class tomorrow!

personally, this is hilarious

Bud Light Presents: Today we salute you, Mr. Constant Collar Putter Upper. You, bedecked in popped collar, teach us that we no longer have to live with a cold, back of the neck. Sure, your Pink alligator polo may look feminine to some, but not to the 17 other queer frat guys wearing the same thing at the bar. Where others may see thoughtless fashion conformity, you preach a higher gospel. You preach of a world where it's okay for a man to go tanning. You ask "why can't we wear make-up, and use shampoo with lavender essence?" So crack open an ice-cold Bud Light, you fashion gladiator, because we all know, when we really need a piece of gum, you might have one...in your man purse. "when the collar pops, the panties drop"
